Artist's statement

Most artist's statements sound alike and, I am not good at writing one.
So, following is a little explanation of what I do:
When I paint, I like to draw heavily on my own mental images to enhance or to simplify a painting. It is very interesting that the memory is sometimes sharper because it tends to eliminate unnecessary detail that is almost overwhelming in the real world, and at the same time it exaggerates in the most surprising ways.
That's my artist's statement, such as it is.
